Hey friends! Welcome to my website! I’m a natural light photographer
based in Rocky Mount NC. I enjoy taking relaxed pictures that capture
the true personality of my subjects. As someone who knows how
intimidating it can be in front of the camera, I try my best to make
everyone feel comfortable from behind the camera. I use light-hearted
and creative techniques to help you get comfortable and have some fun.
This lets me capture you in happy and authentic moments, allowing your
natural joy to shine in your photos!
I love to become quick friends with my subjects and consider our
sessions together a chance to get to know one another and have a good
time. My style as a photographer is very organic and I like to
prioritize laughter and quality photos in my sessions! With me, you
can let down your guard and just have fun, because I will be doing the
same with you!
In this crazy world we live in, most of us want something predictable; something we can control. We like to plan and become disappointed when things don’t go as expected. But sometimes, the universe has something even better in store for us. Sometimes, the unexpected can be wonderful.
Ana described herself as a planner. But Samuel stole her heart the first time they met. She never could have anticipated that. They come from different countries and yet they are a perfect match for one another. The ease they have with each other is evident at the first sight of them together. When we took their engagement pictures, it was obvious that they were a physically beautiful couple together. But they were so much more. They were completely in love and so excited to begin their life together.
They planned a perfect Raleigh wedding for September of 2020. In March, the unexpected happened. All the Samuel & Ana’s planning had to stop. Covid 19 was not in the plan. Large gatherings were suddenly banned and Ana’s family would not be able to make it here for the wedding. Though we know this was devastating to Samuel & Ana, they quickly came up with a plan to be able to go ahead and commit themselves to each other despite their circumstances.
On July 25, we met in Samuel’s grandmother’s magical backyard for their wedding. Her yard is canopied in trees, has a beautiful gazebo and is full of summer foliage and flowers. Samuel’s brother Alex played the guitar as Ana walked with her mother down the path towards her soon to be groom and Samuel’s brother Parker was the officiant. Immediate family gathered around under the trees as Ana & Samuel exchanged vows under the gazebo. They joy they felt when they were officially announced as husband and wife was palpable. We had never seen bigger smiles or tighter hugs. The wedding was intimate. It was Christ centered. It was beautiful.
While we still look forward to their wedding in May at the original venue, we can’t help but feel this wedding was meant to be. It was unexpected and not in the original plans, but it was perfect.
