Going to Duke University is obviously an honor and something to be proud of. It could also have the potential to be intimidating. Not only are all of the students super smart, but they are from all over the world. Finding people you have common ground with is even more of a priority in this atmosphere. Allison & Aiden immediately joined Duke Cru; an organization that is passionate about connecting other to Jesus. There, they formed a wonderful friendship. Aiden finally asked Allison out on a date and Allison declined! That would be so sad if we didn’t know how this story ends. Fortunately, there is a much better ending to the story! Aiden was patient and waited for her to finally say yes. And she did! From that moment on, as Forrest would say, they were like peas and carrots! Allison & Aiden seem to be very gentle people grounded in their faith. Covid took what would have been a larger wedding celebration and made it small, beautiful and more personal. The weather was wonderful. Heavy rain from the day before cleared and the temperature was almost 60 degrees! Fran & I loved every minute with Allison and Aiden and wish them nothing but the best in life!
