Roger is my cousin. He, his wife Mary, their dog Oreo and their horses Helen & Andy live in Williamston NC. Roger loves his horses. You can find Roger showing his horses at the state fair, giving carriage rides at various local events, ushering newly married couples to their reception and walking in the Christmas parades! When there is freshly fallen snow, people in the Sandy Ridge area listen out for the sound of jingle bells. It’s on those special days that Roger is able to load up Oreo and his family and take them for rides on his sleigh. His horses are so well dressed and adorned with many jingle bells. It’s a truly magical experience to go for a ride in a horse-drawn sleigh. It took me several days but I was finally able to make my way from Rocky Mount to Williamston so that I could capture all that is so special about Roger and his horses. They are just gorgeous. And I have to say, I laughed out loud as I edited the pictures looking at how serious Oreo was about posing for every single shot. What a fun time it was dashing through the snow! Enjoy!
