Moments like this don’t come along often. I’ve always wanted to shoot a proposal. I mean, they are magic, right?? Eli texted me months ago asking if I shot proposals. I immediately texted him back saying “for who; you???”! Haha! Yes! It was for him! He planned every detail for this proposal down to the tee. It was amazing. He had the ring, the date, family lined up to be there to watch. I have to say, I was proud that I was able to keep the secret for that long. On May 1st, we showed up at Fort Macon to make it happen. I met his mom there early to make sure I knew exactly which path he would walk out of. Of course, I had to get a pretty shot of the diamond ring cookie. All of Madelyn & Eli’s families gathered on the boardwalk to watch as they came out right on time at 7 pm. Eli quickly dropped to one knee and pulled his Bailey’s box out of his sock! I walked up as he proposed, hearing all the sniffling and “I love you’s”. It was so special. Their families quickly ran out to congratulate them. What a blessing that their families love each other and Eli is great friends with his soon-to-be brother-in-law. After taking a few family portraits, I got lots of portraits of Eli & Madelyn. They were so happy and sweet together! Can I shoot a proposal every month??
