How do you write a nice little blog post for your own daughter’s wedding? How do you summarize one of the three most wonderful and important days of your life in a few concise paragraphs? The emotions were too deep. The joy was too great. The feeling that my heart was literally growing inside my chest lasted all day. The need to hold the tears was hard (but I did it!). The pride I felt for Chloe, who is still a little girl in my eyes, was immense. The sense of pure peace in knowing that William would always put her first and care for her heart as I would was just indescribable. It’s what a parent prays for the entirety of their child’s life. 

Chloe & William only dated for about 6 months before he proposed. They then planned an entire wedding together in only about 9 weeks. They really did an amazing job. Historic Tuckahoe was the perfect location. It was filled with gardens, a historical home, and gorgeous countryside. The actual ceremony spot was enchanting; sunken down in the back of the gardens and covered by a canopy of crepe myrtle trees. Not only was the location beautiful but it was where William’s business is located, where they went on one of their first dates, and the location of their engagement.

The entire day was completely laid back and joyful. Chloe & William have such an awesome tribe behind them and we couldn’t ask for a better set of in-laws. I have no doubt that Wiliam & Chloe have already put in more work towards building a solid foundation for their marriage in their 6 months (now almost 8) of dating than Mark & ever did over the course of eight years of dating! They are ready and committed to this journey of marriage.

Sometimes when the timing is just right and the stars align perfectly, magic happens! I would dare to say it’s more like divine intervention.
