Hey friends! Welcome to my website! I’m a natural light photographer
based in Rocky Mount NC. I enjoy taking relaxed pictures that capture
the true personality of my subjects. As someone who knows how
intimidating it can be in front of the camera, I try my best to make
everyone feel comfortable from behind the camera. I use light-hearted
and creative techniques to help you get comfortable and have some fun.
This lets me capture you in happy and authentic moments, allowing your
natural joy to shine in your photos!
I love to become quick friends with my subjects and consider our
sessions together a chance to get to know one another and have a good
time. My style as a photographer is very organic and I like to
prioritize laughter and quality photos in my sessions! With me, you
can let down your guard and just have fun, because I will be doing the
same with you!
So today I had my first little heart attack with photography!! And I’m not joking! Ambler and Grace met two years ago when she was a waitress at Westridge Grill. She spilled a bucket of ice water on his lap; the rest is history. Ambler said he knew that very night that she was the one. He gave her a piece of paper with his number, and she still has it. He called me a few weeks ago to ask me to shoot their proposal. He had made a custom ring for her and wanted to propose at the exact same table where they met. It was the perfect idea for them! We texted this morning and Ambler told me they planned to arrive at 12:00. I planned to arrive at 11:45 to wait for them to come. He was heading into church so we couldn’t really text a lot. Anyway, at 11:33 I received a text from Ambler that they were there! Oh my goodness! I about died! I was still at home. I flew out the door and sped to Westridge. I spun into the parking lot and saw them standing at their special table. Oh nooooo!!! I scrambled to get my camera bag out of the back of my car! The automatic back doors really move slowly! Uggggg! As I was trying to get my camera out and run across the parking lot, I accidentally hit lots of buttons on my camera. I knew my camera wasn’t functioning properly, but it was actually taking pictures! I couldn’t stop snapping to change the settings because I would miss the proposal. So I just kept snapping and running (and shaking and sweating!!!). Ambler was so sweet. He did an awesome job. He actually took his time and told Grace how he felt about her rather than just dropping to one knee and popping back up! Bless him! Although the images of the actual proposal aren’t technically the best, I hope that the emotion captured in them makes up for the technical glitches. Anyway, after he proposed, I gathered myself and got my camera bag out of my car so I could take portraits of the newly engaged couple. They were just so precious & so in love!! Ambler & Grace, I wish you a lifetime of happiness! I also suggest that you come to Westridge for dinner on your anniversary every year! Happy proposal day!!!
